UCLA is a fairly solid defensive team.(Sold DL and I like the LB's) Their offense is better than they have showed. I think it is a good spot to take the Bruins plus the 18. Yes, OU is generally strong at Home, but this UCLA team might just be the best defensive team that OU faces all season.
guys i agree that UCLA has a solid defense but they only scored 3 points against Illinois!! I mean come on now. They are going to be lucky to get that many here so you are going to be sweating this one until the end seeing just how many the sooners will score. They could easily win this game like 23-0. Just wanted to chime in as I know the pac ten very well and this UCLA offense is not good.I am a pass on this game as of now though. Better value on the board.
UCLA had a lot of drops against Illinois. The offense is probably still learning the new system and there was some internal distraction with the back-up QB being arrested earlier in the week. However, the RB, White looked good (He had over 100 yards). I expect them to feature White more against OU. They have talent at the skill positions. They are better offensively than they have played.

I think the only reason the Illini are favored is because they are playing at home. UCLA did not exploit their suspect pass defense. I think CAL will.

Jason White is getting better each game. plus their run game is starting to come around. The WR's for OU could be the best in the Big 12. As for the Defense, theres a sense of urgency due to the loss of MLB Mitchell. OU D usually steps up to the plate in desperate situations. Plus ucla's QB has a girlfriend of 4 years and her family is-you guessed it-Sooner fans. I know them myself. This is the kind of info the gambling world needs to hear. The last time UCLA came to Norman they were ranked #5. Unfortunately OU was #1 and rolled 38-3. They roll again 34-0. OU didn't cover last week but you can't go by that. They were up 38-0 on Fresno at the half and couldn't keep the intensity.

NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma linebacker Lance Mitchell's season is probably over after an MRI revealed Monday that he has torn a ligament in his left knee.
Mitchell, a Butkus Award candidate, injured his anterior cruciate ligament while making a tackle in the second quarter of the top-ranked Sooners' 52-28 win over Fresno State on Saturday.
Coach Bob Stoops said there's a "very slight" possibility that Mitchell might try to play through the injury.
It's more likely that Mitchell will have surgery this week, Stoops said.
The 6-foot-3, 247-pound senior had 19 tackles in three games -- one year after leading the nation's 10th-ranked defense in tackles (124), tackles for loss (19) and fumbles caused (four).
Also hurt in the Sooners' win was senior cornerback Derrick Strait, who left late in the second quarter with a pulled muscle in his left thigh. He's expected to be ready for Saturday's game against UCLA.
